Intro Course
This intro course covers ground school basics, including how to launch and land a paraglider.
You will have a basic understanding of how the paraglider works whilst ground handling the wing
yourself under the supervision of an instructor.
Allow: 2 – 3 hours depending on location

Entry level Course
PG1 This course will really let you discover paragliding. The course includes ground handling,
training flights, high flights, and theory. At the end of this course, you will have completed your
PG1 NZHGPA license and be able to fly with an instructor present.
Course includes use of all equipment, personal log book plus 6 months student membership through
the NZHGPA.
Full radio contact is maintained on all flights.

Full Pilot License
PG2 This course is in addition to the basic knowledge learnt during PG1. It takes your flying and theory up
to a level where you will be able to fly without an instructor at PG2 rated sites. At the end of the course
you will have completed your PG2 NZHGPA license.
This course requires a minimum of 40 flights in varied conditions, completing a number of specified manouvres.

‘Kick Start’
This course is for rated paraglider pilots who may has lost a little confidence or have not flown for some time,
and wish to get their ‘knees in the breeze’ once again.
Levitate Paragliding offers them the assistance, encouragement and friendly, helping hand that they need.
This refresher course also includes light theory, covering flight rules, weather conditions and pre-flight checks.
